Ingredient:

Banana flower - 250gm

moong dal - 50gm

Coconut - grated 2 Teaspoon

Turmeric powder -1/2 teaspoon

mustard and urad dal -1 Teaspoon

red chilli -2

onion -2

cumin seed -1/2 teaspoon

Fennel seed -1/2 teaspoon

salt as required

Method:

1. Remove the vein from the banana flower, cut it into small pieces, and put it in water mixed with buttermilk and salt. doing this prevents it from turning black.

2. Add moong dal to the cooker, leave up to 1 whistle and take it.

3.  With the moong dal add a banana flower, chopped onion, green chili, and turmeric powder, and let it boil.




    









4. Take a mixer grinder add grated coconut, cumin seed, and fennel seed and grind it as a paste.










5. when the flower is cooked, then add coconut paste and boiled once, then off the stove.



5. keep a pan on the stove and add 2 teaspoons of oil, add mustard and urad dal, red chili, and curry leaves.










6. when it crackled pour it into the cooked banana flower.


7. Now banana flower koottu is ready.
